About Beraonline

The One Wall That Is Doing a Job

Beraonline is a drywall shop on La Sierra Ave in the 92509 ZIP, working across Riverside and the near inland cities. We hang and finish board on remodels, additions and new work, and we have ended up specialising in the part of the house most crews treat as an afterthought: the garage.

Everywhere else in a house, drywall is a surface. It holds paint, it takes a texture, it hides the framing. In the garage it is doing something else. The board on the common wall and the board on the ceiling under a bedroom form a separation between the part of the house where cars, fuel, paint thinner and lithium batteries live and the part where people sleep. That is a code requirement, not a preference, and it is written into the California Residential Code at section R302.6.

Why We Ended Up Here

Because we kept finding it wrong. Not on new construction, where an inspector looks at it, but on everything that happened afterwards. A homeowner adds an attic ladder. An electrician drops in can lights. A plumber cuts an access hole for a shower valve above and never closes it. Ten years of small jobs, each one reasonable on its own, and the garage ceiling ends up with half a dozen openings in it that nobody thought of as openings.

We started closing those properly, then started getting called specifically for it, and now it is the spine of what we do.

What We Will Tell You

Which part of the work is a code and safety item, and which part is cosmetic. Those are different conversations and they deserve different budgets. If your garage ceiling is the right board, correctly fastened, and it simply looks tired, that is paint. If it is half inch board under a bonus room, that is not a cosmetic problem and no amount of texture will fix it.

We will also tell you when a patch is genuinely fine. A single clean opening in sound board does not require a new ceiling, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling square footage.

How We Work

Small crew, one job at a time. Board hung to the fastener spacing the assembly calls for, joints taped, finished to a level four unless you ask for more, textured to match what the rest of the house already has. In this climate the mud sets fast, which helps the schedule and punishes sloppy feathering, so we thin and work in smaller sections than a coastal crew would.
